Thank you for your interest in joining the Friends of Alpine Park. It is our mission to, “preserve and enhance the natural beauty and history of Alpine Groves Park.”
To enhance the natural beauty of the park, we clean and maintain the Ruth Harris Bennett Butterfly Garden. Our volunteers maintain the garden work with others in the group to determine and plant Native Florida plants. To preserve the history of the park, we raise the funds to restore the historical buildings on the property – the 1890s farmhouse, orange packing shed and the horse barn at the front of the park. We currently need volunteers who are interested in planning events that will raise funds to keep our vision going!
We decorate the exterior of the farmhouse for the holidays, hold fundraiser events, and give tours of the historic Harris-Bennett farmhouse. Join us to help with these fun and festive efforts. Whether you have a love of nature, a love of history, or want to join in a great community cause, we need YOU!
