We are excited that you are interested in joining Friends of Alpine Park. It is our mission to, “preserve and enhance the natural beauty and history of Alpine Groves Park.”

To enhance the natural beauty of the park, we clean and maintain the Ruth Harris Bennett Butterfly Garden. We currently need members who would like to help weed it, water it, and work with others in the group to determine and plant Native Florida plants. To preserve the history of the park, we are raising the funds necessary to restore the interior of the 1890s farmhouse. It was stabilized and the exterior restored when the park was built, but the interior still needs to be restored and furnished. We currently need members who are interested in planning events that will raise funds to make this a reality. After restoration we will work with St. Johns County to provide historical tours.

We decorate the exterior of the farmhouse for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Spring, Independence Day, and Thanksgiving. We are looking for new members who would like to assist with this fun and festive effort! Whether you have a love of nature, a love of history, or want to join in a great community cause, we need YOU!
